What is Atrium Health CareConnect?
Our national health care environment is taking incredible steps to transition from paper to electronic medical records. With this transition, there is now a new need to connect data across many locations. The technology that brings this together is called a health information exchange (HIE).

Atrium Health CareConnect is a growing HIE that offers a secure, electronic way for authorized members of the health care community, like physicians, clinical staff and public health agencies, to access patient information. This enables staff to drive timely, efficient, safer patient-centered care, while helping to reduce errors and the extra costs associated with redundant or unnecessary procedures.
